Nme has been around since the 1950's always focusing on the love of music.Nme stands for new musical express and this was posted on the logo origionally before it was cut short to Nme. Nme focused on music popular at certain years of time . In the 1950's Nme focused on jazz and rock because of Elvis Presley being on the scene and being one of the most sucessful artists of all time. In the 1960's rock grew, as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were the main focus because they were huge bands in the decade .

The layout of this magazine is quite organized and sophisticated.The main logo is focused in the left hand corner , with the picture slightly touching over it from the right hand side. This edition of the magazine appears to be very antique , and stuck back in the 60's genre look. This will be partly to do with the magazine being around a long time.
